While I tend to blog about building out my side-projects, marketing, and making money online, I’ve always been truthful about one thing: I still have a day job.
Not that there is anything wrong with that, I’m just still using it as a way to support my family until I can afford to work for myself. With that being said, I’ve discovered a few surefire tactics to use at your day-job to drastically increase your salary as a developer.
Only 3 years ago, I was an about-to-get-evicted college dropout. A small healthcare company brought me onboard to work on an analytics web app at $15/hour. Since then:
- I’ve gotten 3 five-figure raises, bringing my salary to $70,000 a year
- I bought my first house
- I had my first baby, and we’re privileged enough that my wife gets to stay at home to care for him.
Now I’m not trying to brag at all here, in fact, I want to show you the exact steps that I took to over double my salary in that short amount of time. I sat down with John Sonmez of SimpleProgrammer and we recorded a video interview where I walk you through the exact steps I used to get five-figure raises.
Oh, and did I mention John and I are giving you this amazing content, for free? There is absolutely no catch, I just want to show you how to make a ton more money at your day-job.
Now is the time when you can truly make a difference in your life by boosting your salary. You can put away that extra money and take a vacation, or use it to get more buffer when you branch out on your own, put a down payment on a house, invest in real estate, whatever you want!
